PHOTOTROPISM
 Phototropism is a directional response that
allows plants to grow towards or in some cases
away from a source of light.
 Phototropism is most often observed in plants.
 Almost all plants can photosynthesize, and
photosynthesis is key to plants survival.
 The cells on the plant that are farthest from the
light have chemical called auxin that reacts when
phototropism occurs.
GEOTROPISM
The directional growth of an organism in response
to gravity. Roots display positive tropism when
they grow downwards , while shoots display
negative tropism when they grow upwards.
The response of a plant part to the stimulus of
gravity. Plant’s stem, which grow upward
irrespective of the position in which they are
placed, show negative Geotropism
CHILLI SEEDS
 Chilli seeds, (Capsicum annuum )is the fruit of plants from the
genus Capsicum which are members of the nightshade family.
Chilli originated in Mexico after the Columbian Exchange, many
cultivars of chilli pepper spread across the world , used for both
food and traditioinal medicine.
 When chillis are consumed by mammals such as humans,
capsaicin binds with pain receptors in the mouth and throat,
potentially evoking pain via spinal relays to the brainstem and
the thalamus where heat and discomfort are preceived. The
intensity of the “heat” of chilli peppers is commonly reported in
Scoville heat units (SHU). Pure capsaicin is a hydrophobic,
colorless, odorless and crystalline-to-waxy solid at room
temperature .
STAGES OF PLANT GROWTH
Week-1 :~ Chilli seeds after been sown in well fertiled
soil and allover equally sprinkled water with enough
required sunlight.
Week-2 :~ Since the day of chilli seeds been sown in the
soil , after alternative observations, the seeds started to
trun into saplings.
Week -3 :~ as the seeds which were sown a few weeks ago
are now grown in a actual plant which could be used
up for household purpose.
STAGES OF PLANT GROWTH
Continued…
Week -3 :~The one way to get a better plant is to provide
it with sufficient amount of water , sunlight and shed.
Amount of nutrients which are being absorbed by the
plants and the soil, helps you to get a better yield.
FENUGREEK SEEDS:~ After been sown in well fertile soil
and allover equally sprinkled water and enough of
required sunlight, the growth of plant between 2-3
weeks has been increased to 4-5cm. As the plant has
grown to its maximum size , it should be transferred to
an open plot for better reach of vitamins and minerals.
CONCLUSION
As we can see that chili plant
are growing towards the
sunrays .This is also known
as PH, the tendency of a
plant to grow in the
direction of sunlight. The
Fenugreek plant is
receiving sunlight from the
top, so we can see that they
growing straight upwards.
