Voice over
The voice over feature is accessible through the accessibility
settings.

By turning it on, students with reading or vision problems can


have the content of their screen read aloud to them, as well as
being able to use simplified commands targeted to the visually
impaired.

The voice, reading speed, as well as the content being read aloud
can all be changed in the settings to customize what and how
content is read.
Voice Control
The voice control feature allows users to control their phone with
their voice.

This feature can also be useful to students that are visually


impaired, struggle with reading and typing, or who have motor
skills issues that make it difficult to navigate a phone.

Commands can be customized to fit the students’ needs and the


feature allows students to record their own voice so that the device
recognizes it.
Hearing Devices
This feature allows students with hearing impairments to connect
their iPhone to their hearing aid or sound processor.

Students will be able to hear the audio on their phone in a way that
is compatible with hearing devices they already use, also meaning
they can use it without having to put on headphones which could
be a distraction.
Display Features
Students or someone helping them can change the size of text, the
boldness, make clickable links and buttons stand out, and change
the brightness and contrast of the screen.

These features can help students who are visually impaired. It can
also help students who struggle with distraction, as it can make the
display appear in a way that helps them to focus.
Typing Feedback
This feature is accessible through the spoken content option.

This feature can be helpful with students who are visually


impaired as well as students who have dyslexia, reading or
spelling issues.

It will give voice feedback of letters and words typed, and can
offer predictive text as well as corrections.
