FOR WE ARE HIS WORKMANSHIP

y When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: Psa 8:3-6 y King David is considering the consideration man receives as compared to things that are greater grandeur than man.

y Our solar system is just a speck in the scheme of the universeimagine mans occupation in that speck. y why would God give so much attention to man so much? y God gave man so much of authority that was never given to angels. y Angels were never given dominion over anything but man even though being made lower than them enjoyed more power. y David always experienced rejection from people

y He was rejected on many accounts for no fault of his. y People tried to kill him, constantly fleeing and living as a vagabond in the wildernesshe stops to consider God love for him. y David learned to find the Lord even in when his life was in the toughest of times. y This is a wonderful aspect of David we can learn. y Asking, Seeking and knocking the doors of Heaven when we find ourselves in difficulty.

y I still havent answered why God considers man so much above all the other creations! y The answer is that God created everything by commanding it by His word. y He spoke and it came to be.but man He formed from the dust of the ground.

y God formed (shaped) man using the soil. y But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. Isa 64:8 y When God made man He made him with the all the care and love that any father could ever give. y God would have used more of His creative ability to make us than all of creation y Man is the only living thing in existence that was made by the hands of the Father and not just His word!

y For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works Eph 2:10 y We were made with a purpose, a design so specific that it defeats all of creation. y Do we see ourselves as the Lord sees us? y Today most of see the Bible as an impossibility. y Living a life pleasing unto God is an actual impossibility in the mind of believers.

y Our Spirit is an even greater workmanship than our body is. y If God made man physically so fearfully and wonderfullyhow much more glorious will our spirit being be? y I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psa 139:14 y God instructed Moses to make a Tabernacle in the wilderness, then King Solomon to build a Temple. y The next Temple we see is Christ Himself in the flesh.

y Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. But he spake of the temple of his body. Jn 2:19, 21 y Jesus gave a glimpse of His Heavenly form when He was Transfigured y And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. Mt 17:2 y Today God has begun building this type of Temple within usfrom the day we accepted Christ.

y And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Eph 1:19 -20 y The completion is when we see Him face to face

y Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet

appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1Jn
3:2

y For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Php 3:20-21 y Today we struggle to maintain a life pleasing to God. y Why are we struggling? y Because we rely on our ability to maintain a life pleasing and acceptable to Christ

y And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Lk 13:2225 y Where is our hope today is it in our abilities or is in God?

y That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, hat he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Eph 5:26-27

y But the Lord love, His mercy and grace toward us greater in times of failure. y He will not allow us to fall away unless we desire to be away. y The Father never restricted the prodigal son when he made the decision to leave. y The son left his fatherbut the father never left him. y Today no matter where you are standing.the Lord is here for you.. y No matter what the world thinks of youyou mean a lot more than all of creation.

y He loves us even than He loved Himself y For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jn 3:16 y Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1Jn 4:10 y Nothing can separate us from His lovePaul recognized this

y For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 8:38 -39
