Digital data refers to data that is stored using digits, specifically binary digits of 0s and 1s on a computer. A computer uses digital data to store yes or no values, numbers, instructions, and digital content like images, videos and audio by representing them as files made up of zeros and ones. The binary system with digits 0 and 1 is used for digital data and computing, whereas the decimal system with digits 0 through 9 is used for everyday math.
