Green Card owners are immigrants who got permanent

resident status in the United States. This means they can

legally live and work in the country.
Task - We’re going to pretend to go to a Green Card
Interview.
We’ll need three characters: two spouses and an
immigration officer.

You are the immigration officer. You are investigating a possible

fraudulent marriage case where a foreigner and a native citizen may
have gotten married just in order to get a Green Card for the immigrant,
which would grant this person permission to legally stay and work in the
US. The couple insists that they are indeed in love and plan to build a
family together. You are going to interview them separately. You want to
prove that they are deceiving the Immigrations Office. If you can find 3
differences in their story, the immigrant will be sent back to his or her
native country immediately.

You will ask the 10 following questions.

You are a Hungarian immigrant to the US. You have been accused
of marrying a stranger just so you would qualify for a Green Card that
would grant you permission to legally stay and work in the US. You, of
course, want to prove to the Immigrations Office that your marriage is a
real one. An immigration officer will interview you separately. In the
interview, both you and your spouse have to tell the exact same story,
because if the officers find 3 differences in your stories, you will be
deported back to your native country.

You will be asked 10 questions. You have 10 minutes to prepare your

You are a native citizen in the US. You have been accused of marrying
a Hungarian stranger just to help this foreign person qualify for a Green
Card that would grant him or her permission to legally stay and work in
the US. You, by no means, do not want that the Immigrations Office
consider your marriage illegal. An immigration officer will interview you
separately. In the interview, the two of you have to tell the exact same
story, because if the officers find 3 differences in your narratives, your
partner will be deported back to Hungary immediately.
