TRANSPORT IN KRAKOW

TRAMS
The trams are the main mode of
transportation in Krakow. Rails for trams
are laid all over Krakow. Tram is a cheap
type of public transport, so many people
use it. There is even museum of trams in
Krakow. I went there with my family. That
is a cool place. In Krakow trams are very
fast, so you can get anywhere be tram.
There are a lots of tram stations in
Krakow.
AIRPPORT

Krakow John Paul II International


Airport is the main international airport
serving Krakow, Poland. It is named after
Pope John Paul II, who spent many years of
his life in Kraków. 
Krakow Airport (KRK) handled
8,410,817 passengers in 2019, being
the second busiest airport in
Poland.During 2021, Krakow Airport
registered 3,100,000 passengers. Krakow
airport is 3 hours ride from the center of
the city. It is smaller than Ukrainian airport
“Boryspyl”, but there are many people too.
BUSES

Except trams, cars, and planes Krakow has


buses too. They are not as busy as trams,
but in the rush hour they are full with
people. Buses also go to the Zoo, which is
40 minutes ride from the bus station. A
single 1-hour ticket for Krakow public
transport costs 5 PLN, a 20-minutes ticket
costs 2,80 PLN. These are your bus & tram
pass, as long as you do not buy a single-
use ticket.
