encouraged “family
planting”
• 1945-1950: so many
babies were born

• Today: they are now 65-70 years old


• Large demand for nurses, care givers, and retirement homes

• That’s why there are many Asians working in Europe as care-


givers and nurses.
• Soon they will replace the old and dying ethnic Europeans
Europeans: “Endangered species?”
