Foreword
As the English language gains greater ground in different transactions all over
the world, the need for competent English language skills in professional and
academic settings becomes an essential concern among educators. The subject
English for the Globalized Classroom: English for Academic and Professional
Purposes aims to provide meaningful inputs for the development of reading and
writing skills of students.
Lessons are devoted to engaging the learner in different rhetorical modes of
writing, which are essential in academic work. By employing different tasks and
authentic texts, the worktext provides maximum learning opportunities for both
teachers and learners on the features of academic reading and writing.
