INTRODUCTION
Smart note taker is a pen which is able to write in
air and that information is stored in the memory
chip of that pen.
 It is made by Kawell Industry in Hongkong.
 Smart note taker is one of useful product
which can satisfy the needs of people in today’s
technological and fast life.
Note taking in education is perceived as a
major component in the learning process.
FEATURES
The smart note taker converts the handwritten notes into the editable
text.
This device is very helpful for the blind people.
It plays a vital role where two people exchange the information over
the phone by providing the feature of using images and text that aids
the communication.
It identifies nearly twenty-two languages and also very helpful for the
people to give the presentations.
CONSTRUCTION
 The java applet program suits best for the drawing of figures and
strings, the java code is developed and installed in the pen as it needs
to draw the figures and write the text.
Java is a high-level language and applet is a function of java, in simple
words it is like a file that has the collection of programs of java. .
The database installed in the pen aids in identifying the different words
that we write it in the air.

When we write the notes the displacement sensor senses displacement of the
pen. 

The sensed structure is compared with the standard alphabets in database.

the system installed in the pen will consist of a database which
will help the processor to recognize various words made visually
in the air.

 the letter with close similarity is stored in the memory .
by connecting the SNT to a PC we can see the note.
ADVANTAGES
The smart note taker device is very reliable and also very powerful though it
looks simple.
The device is very helpful for blinds that think and write.
It is very useful for the instructors in the presentations.
It uses paint application along with the java graphics and these features make
the product compatible.
This device can be easily connected through the wireless connection.
DISADVANTAGES
• The cost of this product is high when compared with other products.
• There is no possibility of storing the templates as well as formats other
than word documents and graphic files.
• The data from this product cannot be transferred to other device.
• Lack of product awareness among the people.
CONCLUSION
 Hence I can conclude that the smart note taker is a device that can store
visual recordings and thus can be used widely. The system will try to
improve a pen, which helps people get rid of typing problems on
computer by the technology.
