Return temperature of 7˚C, supplied in secondary chilled water pump.

Chilled water temperature increases from 7˚C to 8˚C and due to that
there is increase in specific power consumption of the chiller.

PUMP`S
The operating efficiency of pumps has been computed by measuring
the flow, suction & discharge head, pressure & power (kW). Various
other parameters has also been considered and presented below.

SECONDARY PUMP PLENUM

• Maintenance of Secondary pump Plenum

• As it is observed the efficiency of Plenum pump is also low
i.e. 62% which can be improved . As it is observed the VFD is
already installed on the secondary pumps, but the usage of
VFD must be optimize for the efficiency improvements and
energy conservation.

AIR COMPRESSOR

• One air compressor is installed in boiler house facility for

machine in laundry. In a laundry calandrier machine and dryer
are consume more compressor air. The compressed air
requirement is 7.4 kg/cm2 in laundry. It is observed that at air
compressor cut in and cut off pressure set at 8 kg/cm2 and 10
kg/cm2.
• It is recommendation to set air compressor cut in and cut off
pressure.

KITCHEN SAVING CALCULATION

• In dish washer it is recommended to insert an extra line of hot

water. Currently dish washer is using fresh water feed of 29˚C
which can be replaced by hot water of 45˚C water which will
be decrease electrical power consumption directly by 50%.

SAVING CALCULATION IN LIFT

• Lifts are used in hotel for the guests and staff conveying in the
hotel. There are 7 lifts, 2 for staff and 5 for guests. Lift are powered
by 25 kW motor for 12 floor conveying.
