PHILOSOPHY

 
As an institution, SMIT believes that
education is an instrument for the development
of the youth into future law abiding citizens and
proactive leaders and models of professionalism.
 
 
 
We believe a process of continuous quality
improvement and reform for results can be consistent
over time, transcending differences and difficulties that
can achieve exceptional results.
Fostering a culture of high expectation, SMIT will be
transparent and accountable, responsive to the ever
changing world. These beliefs include promoting skills
necessary to create positive relationships, and to
handle confrontations and challenging situations
constructively and ethically.
Furthermore, SMIT believes in integrating technology
into all classrooms and curricula to provide each
student the opportunity to fully engage in a 21st
century learning environment.

Institutional Goals:
• To develop the moral, intellectual, physical, social and

OBJECTIVES OF BASIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
A. Elementary Department

1. To equip pupils with basic skills needed to further


academic training in high school and college, with
emphasis on communication skills, Math and Science
and formation of good study habits.
 
2. To instill moral values, love of country and train pupils
to become morally upright citizens.

3. To develop pupils by allowing them to participate in


religious, cultural and social activities

B. High School Department

1. To provide students with relevant secondary


education by developing them in the aspects of their
intellectual, spiritual, physical, social and emotional
potentials.
2. To acquire skills in critical thinking, speaking, writing
and other communicative means and develop student’s
ability to react intelligently in any
situation.
3. To prepare students to be academically ready for
college, career and life.
4. To make students understand the importance of
positive interactions with others as foundations for
living successful lives.
5. To help students become proficient in written or oral
Communication, individually or in group as a team.
6. To prepare students to be able to actively contribute
to the community and participate in global society.
