OVERPOPULATION

Overpopulation
• refers exceeding of certain threshold limits
of population density when environmental
resources fail to meet the requirements of
individuals organisms regarding shelter,
nutrition and so forth. It gives rise to high
rates of mortality and morbidity.
Four Solutions of Overpopulation

• 1.Family planning
• 2.One-child legislation
• 3.Restrict child marriage and raise the legal
age of marriage (minimum 18 years).
• 4.Makes education entertaining
FAMILY PLANNING

• Is defined as the ability of individuals


and couples to anticipate and attain
their desire number of children and the
spacing and timing of their births.
ONE-CHILD LEGISLATION

• The policy was enacted to address the


growth rate of country’s population,
which the government viewed as being
too rapid.
RESTRICT CHILD MARRIAGE AND
RAISE THE LEGAL AGE OF MARRIAGE
(minimum 18 years)
• A minimum age of marriage of 18 for
both parties set by national law helps to
prevent discrimination on the basis of
sex, religion, culture, or ethnicity.
