Shahzenan

The king of Persia was a mighty and valiant ruler. He had vast lands of
India and China under his empire. When he died, his two sons split the
empire amongst themselves. The elder son, Shahriar, took the larger
part of the land and the younger son, Shahzenan, become the king of
Samarkand.
Both the kings ruled well and were loved by the people of their
kingdoms. Busy with their duties as kings, the two brothers could not
see or meet each for several years.
Shahriar wanted to see his younger brother and sent his minister, the Wazir,
to Samarkand. When the Wazir reached Samarkand, he said to Shahzenan, “Beloved king!
I came from the court of king shahriar. Our king misses you and wishes to see you, for you
are his younger brother.” Shahzenan welcomed him and said,“We are honoured by your
visit to Samarkand. I am very happy to know that my brother wishes to see me. I too wish
to see him. I have to make some arrangements before I leave the kingdom. Please give me
three days time and then I will go with you to
meet my brother.”
 The Wazir agreed and Shahzenan said, “I shall make all the
necessary arrangements so that you comfortably stay in this
kingdom for the next three days.”
 The kingdom of Samarkand was very peaceful. The people were
happy and loved their king. So Shahzenan asked his ministers to
take care of the kingdom when he went to see his brother.

 There was one thing that made Shahzenan sad. He would have to
leave his beautiful, lovely queen behind.
