General

 The latest release of the WCP Pressure Operations

Manual is Revision 5.2.
 This manual is organized into 9 sections and 6
appendices, A to F.

JGG
March, 2006
Introduction

 Equipment failure caused by non-compliance to defined

standards (poor or non-existing maintenance/certification
renewal) or equipment used outside its operating envelope
can have severe consequences.
 Failure of pressure containing or pressure controlling
equipment can cause substantial damage to property and or
personnel resulting in the potential for Catastrophic Failure.
 The Pressure Equipment Standard, OFS-QHSE-S014, states
that Business Segments are responsible for segment specific
pressure operations: equipment and personnel training.

JGG
March, 2006
Scope

 The WCP POM, Rev. 5.2 effective January 31, 2006 is the
internal Schlumberger regulation in terms of pressure
management and supersedes the WCP POM Rev. 5.1 of
May 17, 2005.
 The WCP POM is meant to set the minimum common
standards for all pressure containing and pressure controlling
equipment and operations. It is expected that specific local
government regulations and client requirements will broaden
and complement the stipulations of this Manual.

JGG

Scope

 No deviation to this Manual is allowed unless duly approved as

per the Management of Change and Exemption Standard, SLB-
QHSE-S010.
 It is the responsibility of each operating GeoMarket, Region or
Area to define any additional regulations applying in its areas.
Government regulations will prevail whenever a conflict arises
with this Standard. Any SLB employee becoming aware of such a
conflict shall immediately inform WCP through relevant channels.
 The WCP POM may not be distributed to customers or
regulatory authorities without WCP Operations Support prior
approval.
