Statement of Problem #1: What is the effect of adding geotextile

physicochemical tests of the filtered rainwater from the two models when
compared with the National Standards for Drinking Water (PNSDW)?

CHAPTER V
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS,
CONCLUSION AND
RECOMMENDATIONS
Finding #1: Based on comparisons between unfiltered rainwater and
samples that made it through model A, it was found in the results that using a
non-woven geotextile material can change the selected physicochemical
properties of the rainwater.
Finding #2: When the results of the two improvised model units A
with non-woven geotextile filters and model B without geotextile filters
were compared, it was discovered that samples from model A (A2 & A3)
have yielded a passing result in accordance to the allowable limits set by
the PNSDW, contrary to the samples from model B, which resulted a very
turbid samples, thus is has failed the maximum limit set by the PNSWD.
This was discovered by comparing the results of the two models A and B.
Finding #3: Using Single Factor ANOVA, the result shows that there
is a significant difference in incorporating a non-woven geotextile filter to
a sand model unit in terms of the turbidity, TDS and total hardness.

CONCLUSION
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. A study is to be conducted by thickening the layer of geotextile filters. This
suggestion endeavor aims to see if turbidity levels in rainwater samples
would satisfy the PNSDW and, thus, if it is safe for human consumption.
