1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through
him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has
been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all
mankind.
 SVD Charism and Spirituality
• Charisma is Charis in Greek which means ‘grace’. Acting
on and Sharing the grace received from God.

• Spirituality is following Jesus as the role model of a

missionary and a life of righteousness.

• Living out a mission of prophetic dialogue by applying the

charism and spirituality.
 “May the darkness of sin and the night of unbelief
vanish before the light of the Word and the Spirit of
grace and may the Heart of Jesus live in the hearts of
all.”
