Values

transcendent beliefs and moral precepts one learns from religion, parents, and
friends
Objective, universal truths and standards that governs man’s decision,
motivations, conduct, and aspirations.,
Moral values- are universal truths that holds to be good and important, it
transcends at all times, valid for all religion, race, and all nations-
It unite strangers, families, nations of all humanity with God.
Kinds of Values

 A. absolute moral values- no human being is exempted, mankind are to


uphold and live by them during his lifetime
 Ex. Respect, dignity, truth, justice, peace, solidarity, freedom, life, work,
and other abstract characteristics of man

 B. Cultural moral values- behavioral values, inner personal responses or


incentives which prompt an individual to act in a certain way
 - these are man’s views, attitudes, inner senses, emotions, motives,
experience, trainings, customs, and traditions.
 -transmitted to interpersonal life or relationships
Value of a Teacher

 Influence our learners


 Shape lives
 Motivates and drive learners to be the best they can be
 Responsible to foster values
 Caring values-based atmosphere in the classrooms
*But teacher has to developed his total personhood-physical, intellectual,
emotional, psycho-social and spiritual dimensions
