•A strategic plan that defines organization’s overall
goals & objectives.

•Long term & clearly defined vision of a company.

•Corporate strategy comprises of :


1. Allocation of resources
2.Organizational Model
3.Portfolio management
1. Allocation of resources : In terms of people and capital.

2. Organizational Model : In terms of set up processes,


organizational structure and overall operating principles to
achieve strategic goals. It set rules of operation, the policies,
guidelines, organizational structure, management system and
powers and responsibilities of people.

3. Portfolio Management : In terms of what products


company deal in, what it wants to deliver, to who it wants to
deliver, what are the key competitive advantages, pricing
strategies etc.
Business Strategy

A master plan that is designed to help a company reach


specific goals. Having a solid business strategy informs
and allures investors.

In simple words it is a summary of how the company will


achieve its goals, meet the expectations of its customers
and sustain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

2. Differentiation
3. Focus – Differentiation & Cost Leadership
Functional Strategy
• A short-term game plan for a key functional area
within a company.
• Each functional area or department is assigned the
specific goals and objectives it must achieve to
support the higher-level strategies and planning.
These strategies are framed as per the guidelines
given by the top level management.
