Barclays is a British universal bank. We support consumers and small businesses through
our retail banking services, and larger businesses and institutions through our corporate and
investment banking services.

ESG Strategy Used By Barclays


Barclays uses the BlueTrackTM methodology to measure and monitor our funded
emissions in relation to the targets of the Paris Agreement on a portfolio level.
• Scope 1 and 2 emissions: -82%1 reduction against 2018 baseline
• Green financing: facilitated £11bn2 in H122 (2018-H122: £74bn2)
• Sustainable Impact Capital Programme: £27m of own capital invested in H122
(2020-H122: £81m)
• Updated our approach and targets as part of our climate strategy. More detail
on slides 4-7
