1. In this class you will learn about numbers, equations,
inequalities and their applications. Develop understanding
of graphs and geometry. Learn about statistics and
financial planning.

2. Students are required to pass five State of Texas

Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) to
meet graduation requirements.
MATH is ONE OF THEM!!!!!!!!

3. You need in class EVERYDAY: Chromebook and

charger; pencil/pen for notes; notebook.

4. Cell phone policy: absolutely no cell phones use during

class; cell phones should be in your backpack.

5. Headphones: Headphones provided in class are allowed

to be used with Chromebooks only. You are allowed to
listen to music with headphones only during "student
work time".
NO wireless headphones are allowed.

 Grades
1. Homework/Quizzes will be posted on Google Classroom as well
as the date the assignment is due.

2. Tests will be at the end of each Unit. Occasionally there may be a

project assigned.

3. Retake policy: students are allowed one retake per quiz or unit
exam, regardless of the score on the first assessment. Two
conditions must be met: the student must complete the reteach
prior to taking the retake and the retake must be completed prior
to taking the next Unit exam.

6. Late work: 5% per day will be deducted for late work with a
maximum penalty of 30%. Any work turned in after the progress
reporting period will not be accepted. Student is responsible for
turning in work and notifying the teacher by screenshot finished
assignment and emailing it (when applicable).
