INTRODUCTION
16th president of United States of America. Member: U.S. House of Representatives from Illinois's 7th district. Served: U.S.A from March 1861 till his assassination in 1865. He ended slavery. Promoted: economic and financial modernization.

EDUCATION Qualification-As a Lawyer and practiced in Springfield. And sat in the state legislature from 1834 -1842. Studied subjects-Mathematics, Literature and law. Finally his formal education ended very quickly. Eventually he self-educated himself and became lawyer.

LINCOLNS ADULT LIFE

Extraordinary efforts to attain knowledge. Captain in the Black Hawk War. Spent eight years in the Illinois legislature. Rode the circuit of courts for many years. His law partner said of him, "His ambition was a little engine that knew no rest."

THE CIVIL WAR

Began on April 12th ,1861 in South California . Jan 1, 1863 Lincoln issued the final Emancipapion proclamation which freed the slaves. April 9th ,1965 the south surrendered to the north and the war was over .

LINCOLN THE PRESIDENT

As President, Built the Republican Party . Rallied most of the northern Democrats to the Union cause. On January 1, 1863,issued the Emancipation Proclamation . Won re-election in 1864. As a President was flexible and generous.

LEADERSHIP QUALITIES
A house divided against itself cannot stand. Demonstrated an ability to withstand adversity and to move forward in the face of frustration. An individual who wanted to make an impact. Believed in himself and his vision for the country. This is the mark of a true leader.

Capacity to listen to different points of view. Ability to learn on a job. Ready willingness to share credit for success.

Willingness to share blame for failure. Awareness of own weaknesses. Ability to control emotions.

Know how to relax and replenish. Go into the field and manage directly. Strength to adhered fundamental goals. Ability to communicate goals and mission.

MOTIVATION
The Gettysburg speech :Biggest motivation for the entire of USA and the military force during the civil war. Abraham lincoln: Leader, an icon, a national hero.

INSPIRATION:ABRAHIM LINCOLN

Force is all conquering but its victories are short lived.

When I do good, I feel good ;when I do bad, I feel bad and that is my religion.

I am a firm believer in the people, if given the truth they can be depended upon to meet any national crises.

Am I not destroying my enemies , when I make friends of them?

Always bear in mind that your own resolution is more important than anyone think

FAILURE/WEAKNESS OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN.

Failed/not successful in business. Lost his position as a speaker. Lost elections many times. Nervous break down. Judgments given by him during the civil war cost him criticism .

WHAT DID HE FIGHT FOR?

ABRAHAM LINCOLN: A GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE,BY THE PEOPLE. Fought for slavery. Fought at the time when the entire of U.S.A. had lost hopes. Changed the definition of what the government actually is.

DEATH OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN

Assassination: Good Friday, April 14, 1865, as

the American Civil War was drawing to a close. Assassination was planned and carried out by wellknown actor John Wilkes Booth. Shot while watching the play Our American Cousin at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln.
