What Is Interview ?
Interview is a formal act of conversation between two or more persons where the
suitability of an interviewee is determined for a particular kind of work.

NEED/OBJECTIVE -----
 To sort out the best candidate for the work among a large number of equally qualified
candidates.
 The interviewer looks for your future potential and how much you will contribute to the
organisation.
 The interviewer is also able to view your additional skills apart from the ones you have
mentioned.
Types Of Interview

 Individual Interviews – This is the most common type of interview which happens face to face
between one interviewer and interviewee .
 Panel Interviews- In this type of Interviews there is a panel of interviewers who ask questions
to the interviewee.
What Are The Basic Skills That Are
Important In An Interview
 Ambition – You’re often asked the questions about your career objective like where you
see yourself after 5 or 10 year.
 Subject Knowledge – you should have proper command over your subject knowledge.
Sometimes the interviewer might ask what’s your most favourite subject and then ask
questions.
 General Knowledge – you should be aware of the major current events in national and
international affairs.it shows your curious nature to the interviewer.
 Communication – This is the one skill that starts being evaluated from the moment you
enter the room and continues being evaluated until you leave the room. So be fully prepared
on how to formally communicate and behave with the interviewer.
 Mental Agility – The interviewer might ask trick questions to check your how quick you
respond and deal with the question.
Things To do Before An Interview

 Go through a mock interview.

 Research the company.


 Dress appropriately.
 Memorize your Resume.
 Be punctual.
 Make a good first Impression.
 Show your Non-Verbal skills.
