Kevin Rudd is an Australian politician who served as prime minister of Australia from December 3, 2007 to June 24, 2010,
Kevin Rudd himself was born in Nambour, Queensland on September 21, 1957,
Kevin Rudd rose to become prime minister of Australia representing the labor party which at that time defeated the liberal
party to make several changes, especially in foreign policy,

here are some changes that occurred in Australia during Kevin Rudd's reign;
1. Policy towards immigrants and asylum seekers
his reign Kevin Rudd emphasized a more humane approach to immigrants and asylum seekers which was reflected in the
policies he took,

2. Foreign policy
Kevin Rudd's foreign policy rests on 3 pillars namely; 1) Alliance with the United States, 2) Strengthening relations with the
UN, 3) Strengthening relations with Asia. Based on these 3 pillars, Australia's relationship during Rudd's time with countries
in Asia was quite close.

3. Infrastructure Policy
NBN (National BroadBand Network), an ambitious project to improve national communications in Australia that can reach
the entire country

4. Social policy
problem of racial discrimination that occurs to the Australian Aborigines who have long experienced discrimination which is
even blatantly carried out by the Australian government through policies that marginalize the Aborigines.

Anthony John Tony Abbott, also known as Tony Abbott, is a politician from the liberal Australian party who served as
the 28th Prime Minister of Australia on 7 September 2013, after defeating the previous prime minister, Kevin Rudd.
Tony Abbott was born November 4, 1957, London, England.

• Policies during the reign of Tony Abbott as Prime Minister 2013-2015:

The social and economic policies implemented by Prime Minister Tony Abbott's government include: preventing the
arrival of asylum seekers, improving the standard of living of Aborigines, export uranium to India, and join the AIIB
(Asian Infrastructure Investment).

• The political and defense and security policies implemented by the government of Prime Minister Tony Abbott
include: forming a cabinet and reshuffling ministries, Australia's foreign policy with Indonesia, withdrawing troops
from Afghanistan, being wary of acts of terrorism in the country, and fighting ISIS.

Tony Abbott's tenure as Prime Minister was quite short, namely from 2013-2015, after Tony Abbott was defeated by
his party partner, Malcolm Turnbull.

Malcolm Turnbull was born in Sydney on 24 October 1954

The white paper published during the reign of Malcolm Turnbull in


2017 contained Australia's role in the international world,

Malcolm Turnbull carries out diplomatic relations with Indo-Pacific


countries with foreign policies including:
•India: The Australian side carries out diplomatic relations by
cooperating because of the implications of the behavior carried out
by China
• Japan: The Australian side carries out cooperation with Japan in the
security sector by taking two forms
•Country of Indonesia: The Australian side carries out cooperation
with Indonesia in the maritime area especially because these two
countries share a direct border.

Scott John Morrison was born in Waverley, New South Wales, a town
near Sydney on May 13, 1968. His father was a police officer and had
been mayor of Waverley. in as the 30th Prime Minister of Australia.
During the early days of Scott J. Morrison's administration as Prime
Minister, Australia experienced a shift in the direction of its foreign policy
in the South Pacific region.
Under Scott J. Morrison's administration, Australia's climate change
policies varied.
On 21 May 2022, Australia held a general election which resulted in the
Labor Party being the winning party. The Labor victory prompted Prime
Minister Scott Marrison to announce his intention to resign and on 24
May 2022 he was replaced by Anthony Albanese as the new 31st Prime
Minister of Australia.

Julia Gillard in full Julia Eileen Gillard was born on 29 September 1961 in Barry , Vale of
Glamorgan, Wales. He is an Australian politician who served as leader of the Australian
Labor Party ALP; (2010–2013) and as prime minister of Australia (2010–2013). She is the
first woman to hold both posts.
In October 2012, Ms Gillard gained worldwide attention for her speech to Parliament on
the treatment of women in professional and public life.
The theory of liberal feminism is used as a lens in viewing Australian foreign policy during
her reign.
Politics
Ms Gillard was instrumental in the successful management of the Australian economy,
the world's 13th largest economy, during the Global Financial Crisis and positioning
Australia to capitalize on Asia's rise. Ms Gillard presented nation-changing policies
including reforming Australian education at every level from early childhood to
university, creating an emissions trading scheme, increasing the provision and
sustainability of healthcare, aged care and dental care, starting the first national scheme
for the care of persons with disabilities and restructuring the sector telecommunication
and development of National Broadband Network.

-application of mining tax where the amount of tax is changed to 30 percent
-a carbon emissions tax that should reduce emissions
-a new tax for those who are not affected by the flood
-policy towards asylum seekers by making Timor Leste a regional processing center

-as well as several policies towards Indonesia.

Foreign policy
During Ms. Gillard has controversial immigration that Malaysia seeks to deport any
asylum seeker (regardless of country of origin) who turns up on Australian shores. The
plan, which purports to eradicate human trafficking, is a variation of the "Pacific Solution"
introduced by Howard in 2001.
In August 2011, Gillard's plans in Malaysia were declared illegal by the High Court of
Australia.

Indonesia-Australia Foreign Relations


The bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Australia is classified as a very unique
relationship, on the one hand it promises various opportunities for cooperation but on
the other hand it is also full of various challenges.
