Duration of the Workshop : 2.5 Hours (4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)


Grouping : By LGU (Municipality)
Workshop Output : LGU SDG targets
Allotted Time for Presentation : 10 mins.; starts at 5:30 p.m.
Workshop 1-A: Reflecting on the SDGs

 Participants will be grouped per LGU/Municipality

 In each group, the MLGOO will act as facilitator

 A documetor shall also be selected from among the participants

Think About this!

 Name some examples of development experiences that do not conform to the


principles of “Sustainable Development” and “Leaving No One Behind”.
Workshop 1-B: LGU Targets on the SDGs

 Each group will work on four (3) SDGs


 The following are the assigned Sustainable Development Goals per Province:

 Identify which indicator/s (Column 5) will help track the Province’s progress for each Target.
The Local Indicators can be:
> SDG Indicators;

 Indicate the baseline data & year (Column 6) and the LGUs targets (Column 7)
> References: LGU Socio-Economic Profile, Annual Accomplishment
Report, PDPFP, Peace and Order Public Safety Plan, etc.

Workshop 2: LGU SDG Implementation Roadmap

 From Matrix 1 which was accomplished during the Workshop 1-B, participants will proceed to the
identification of Strategies and PPs
 Unhide Column H,I, & J of the excel file provided by the Secretariat during Workshop 1. You will
find the corresponding RDP strategies that will address/help attain the SDGs.
 Each LGU will identify Strategies (Column 9) to achieve the targets, which can be:
> from the RDP Strategy or
> LGU Specific Strategy.

 After which, Programs & Projects (Column 10) will be identified to operationalize the identified
strategy

Think About this!

1. Think of strategies to ensure that the benefits of such policies, programs and projects
will be felt across generations over the long term.

2. Think of strategies to ensure that the benefits of such policies, programs, projects will be
felt by the marginalized and disadvantaged sector in your LGU.

3. Think of the interrelatedness and linkage of the different goals and targets with each
other.
In the presentation

1. Each presentor is given 10 mins. to present its output.

2. In the presentation, highlight one (1) program which can serve as a banner program of
the LGU in attaining the SDGs.

3. It can be a new program or an existing program but highlight on how the SDGs can
integrated in its design and implementation.
