 Introduction
• Technology is important nowadays. 
• New inventions appear everyday but
only some succeed. 
• What are some of the most important
inventions in history?
• What are your favourite inventions?
• Let's do some research and find out
more about them.
 Goals
• Do research about your chosen invention following the
instructions given. Description, use, materials used, date of
invention and present popularity.
• Choose the best possible present for a birthday using debate
techniques.
• Design a presentation about your invention using PowerPoint
365.
• Design of a board game using Timeline App online or on
paper.  
 Organization

• Groups of 4 heterogeneus students. Mixed ability and mixed

gender.
• The teacher will provide a computer/tablet every session.
• Rubrics for the assessment will be available since start.
• All group work and individual work will be done at school.
Practice for presentations will be done as homework. 
 Timing
• First session for the Introduction, Grammar
practice and vocabulary necessary for the
Learning Situation.
• Second session for Listening, Vocabulary and
Grammar for the Listening. Grammar
practice and Vocabulary practice on Aula Virtual.
• Third and Fourth session. Timeline. Design of a
PowerPoint presentation about an invention.
Presentation by representatives of different
groups. 
• Fifth session. Using Timeline app, design of
board game or online game about inventions. 
• Two sessions for assessment.
