ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT
Organization Development is an objectives based approach to systems change
within an organization. Organization Development enables organizations to
build and sustain a new desired state for the entire organization.
Five Stages of Organizational Development
1. Entry. The entry stage represents the first interaction between the
consultant and a client to asses the situation.
2. Identify the Problem
3. Diagnosis
4. Feedback. Intervening and taking action.
5. Solution. Evaluating and feedback
6. Evaluation. Termination/exit
Purpose of Organization Development
Organization development often abbreviated as OD improves existing
process and created new ones. The idea is to understand how to
maximize the effectiveness, potential and capacity of both people and
organization. The science of organization development combines
industrial organization and adult development psychology.

Examples of Organization Development


Team Building: Team building is the best known organization
intervention. It refers to activities that help groups improve the way
they accomplish tasks e.g., volunteering, teamspots, Pictionary.
