SECURITY AND
PERSONALITY
1. Spamming

Is the use of messaging systems to send multiple unsolicited messages to

the large numbers of recipients, or simply repeatedly sending the same
message to the same user.

To avoid spamming:
1. Never give out or post your email address publicly.
2. Do not reply to spam messages.
3. Think before you click.
2. Hacking

Hacking is the practice of modifying the features of a system, in order to accomplish a goal
outside of the creator’s original purpose.

How to avoid hacking?

We should use a firewall, Install antivirus software, Ignore Spam, and Back Up your computer.
3. E-Mail Scams.

Is an unsolicited email that claims the prospect of a bargain or something for

nothing.

What should you do if you’ve received a scam email?

Do not click on any links in the scam email.

Do not reply to the email or supply any information to the sender in any way
4. Viruses and Worms

Viruses
Is a malware program that, when executed,
replicates by inserting copies of itself (possibly
modified) into other computer programs, data
files, or the boot sector of the hard drive; when
this replication succeeds, the affected areas are
then said to be “infected”.
Worms

A computer worm is a type of malware that

replicates itself in order to spread to other
computers. It commonly spreads itself via a
computer network, relying on security flaws on
the target computer to gain access. It does not
need to attach itself to an existing program,
unlike a computer virus.
How to prevent Computer Viruses and
Worms?

Install operating system updates, and software patches.

Use Antivirus software to avoid malicious software

from running.

Use firewalls to protect systems from malicious

software.
