Li: I should be able to differentiate natural and man-made materials.


-What are natural and made materials?
 Natural materials are those that are found naturally around us.
They come from plants, animals or rocks.
 We may have to dig them out of the ground, grow them or take
them from living things.
• Man-made materials are material that we have to do something to, to make
them. They are made by human beings.

F.Q: Where do we get materials from?


•A source is where you get something from.

•The main sources of materials are plants, animals and


underground. These are natural sources.

•Manufactured materials are man-made materials.


SOURCES OF MATERIALS
Examples of materials we get from:
a) Animals- wool, silk, leather, feather.
b) Plants- wood, rubber, cotton.
c)Underground- oil, sand, rocks, coal, gold.

Glass is made from sand.
