Open Issues:
1. What information does the barcode contain?
2. If it contains an unique id, is it unique across studios or is it unique
to a studio?
VTR Controller:

Functions:
1. Control the VTR.
2. Query VTR for status

Open Issues:
1. Would this module control an array of VTR?
2. Currently NTSC and PAL encoding runs are done in different VTR.
Would this be done in one VTR now. Would the VTR control
support mode changing?
Metadata Tagging :

Functions:
1. Control the entry of metadata for the video asset.

Open Issues:
1. Would this metadata be stored separately in a database or would
this be a part of MXF package?
2. Would iCR have an interface for this?
Video Encoding module :

Functions:
1. Control the encoding process.
2. Control the creation of low resolution proxies

Open Issues:
1. What are the parameters to be controlled during this process?
2. Would iCR have an interface for this (Would have to check the
VDCP protocol)?
3. Currently iCR has its own GUI. Would there be an SDK to replace
the GUI functionality by our own GUI?
File handling module :

Functions:
1. Control the transfer of encoded video to the video vault.
2. Control the transfer of low res proxies from the drop server to
the video vault.

Open Issues:
1. What is the video vault? Is it a complete storage platform?
2. How do you interface it with the vault.. Does it expose any
interface or is it plain file transfer through FTP etc
Open Issues :

1. The workflow part needs more clarity.

2. What part of the workflow needs to be controlled by the app?
3. Does the app need to interface with other tools/apps?
