so neatly so that they can remove flesh.

• Their jaw bone is so strong, that it can crush

a human hand in 5-10 seconds.
 What are they attracted to…

• Piranhas are attracted to the scents

of blood.

• They have sensory organs Which

help them to detect blood or dead
meat in the river.
 Feeding Time
• When piranhas are hungry they gang up in
a school and work together as a ferocious
killing machine.

• They usually eat snails, fish, frogs, young

caimans, plants, seed and fruit.

• They will feast on animals and birds when

they fall into the water.

• The piranha eats like it hasn’t eaten in 100
