 The Characters:
• Shrek : A fearless hero that never hesitate to leave his comfort zone to take up a
challenge. He can be compared with King Arthur
• Fiona :The lovely wife of Shrek never give up and overcome every challenge her
husband undertake. She can be compared with Guinevere.
• -Donkey : A supportive donkey committed to Shrek. He is determined, he always
persevere.
-Puss In Boots: A honest cat, bit of daredevil but he’s fair and courageous.
-Arthur "Artie" Pendragon : A kind-hearted dragon, she loves Donkey and Donkey loves
her.
They can be all compared to the knights that support King Arthur.
• Prince Charming : He is the “bad guy”, he is vicious and mean. He often bully the other
characters. He can be compared with the barbarians.
 Where and When?
• Shrek the third takes place during the Middle Ages like in the
legend of King Arthur who takes place at the same time.
• Shrek, the courageous hero, lives in the Country of Far Far
Away.
• At the begining of the story, Schrek lives in a castle.
 What ?
• The distant kingdom has just lost its monarch.  Shrek is called to
ascend the throne.  But the rough-mannered green ogre, who longs for
the swamp, flatly refuses to assume his duties.  With his faithful
friends, the donkey and Puss in Boots, Shrek then goes in search of the
second pretender to the crown, the young misfit Artie, who is Fiona's
half-brother.  Meanwhile, the latter learns that she is expecting a child,
which adds to Shrek's anxieties.And to complicate matters, in the
absence of the ogre, his rival Prince Charming is planning a coup, with
the complicity of several infamous celebrities, including Captain
Hook, the Big Bad Wolf and the mother-in-law of  Snow White.
 Why should yo see it ?
• Shrek the Third is a very good project : there is a lot of
attachant caracters, the movie please everyone. It’s a verry
funny and a family movie.
• Shrek the First, and Shrek the Second were a big success but,
