approved “ MAHILA SHAKTI
KENDRA” scheme for a period
of 3 years i.e from 2017 to 2020

POLICE
VOLUNTEER
 INTRODUCTION

The Mahila Police Volunteer

scheme was launched on
DECEMBER 2016 by the
Ministry of women and child
development in collaboration
with the home affairs for the
engagement of the MPVs in the
state and UTs.
 OBJECTIVES OF MAHILA
POLICE VOLUNTEER

To increase the reporting and response of crime

against women.

To increase role of women in police force.

 FEATURES
 MPV will serve a public police interface in order to fight
crime against women .
 She will act as a role model for community.
 The initial term period of an MPV will be for the
maximum two years and reviewed every six months.
I. Rs 1000 per month will be credited to the MPV to cover
her pocket expenses.
II. Three day training will be imparted to the MPV’s
III.Rewards-Rs 10,000,Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 respectively
will be granted to the three outstanding performers.
 ELIGIBILITY
 MPV must be a women applicant .
 The applicant should not be less than 21 years .
 It is obligated for the application to pass the
certification at least 12th pass.
 There must be no criminal proceeding
instituted against her.
 The women applicant must not be a member of
political party.

UJJWALA YOJANA
 INTRODUCTION
 Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Scheme
was launched by Prime Minister of India
Narendera Modi on 1st may 2016 to distribute
50 million LPG connections to women below
poverty line families,
