S8 PROJECT WORK II
AIM

● To automate the attendance monitoring system.

● To increase the identity security .

● To prevent the misuse of identity.

● To detect multiple faces in real time scenario for monitoring the attendance in working place and
producing the daily report to authorized person.

S8 PROJECT WORK II
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

• This domain is useful in the automation market .

• Helps in monitoring daily attendance.

• Manual process could be replaced by using automation process to reduce the human involvement.

S8 PROJECT WORK II
NEED FOR STUDY

• It is necessary to learn CNN.

• The study of YOLOv5 need to done.

• We studied about similar kind of projects.

• Various proposed methods have been learned from other references.

S8 PROJECT WORK II
FEASIBILITY OF THE PROJECT

• The process in the system is divided into multiple sub divisions.

• Process like dataset creation ,image preprocessing, working of CNN and at last attendance
system is used.

• Each process dependent on the previous process which is performed prior .

• Final output is dependent on individual outputs of each individual process.

Automated Attendance Jenif D Souza W S To make the attendance marking and management system
Marking and Jothi S Chandrasekar fully automatic. In this work of the facial recognition of face
Management System A is done by image processing techniques
by Facial Recognition 2019
Using Histogram

2
Automatic Attendance E.Varadharajan,R.Dha The camera is fixed in the classroom and it will capture the
Management System rani, S.Jeevitha, image, the faces are detected and then it is recognized with
Using Face Detection B.Kavinmathi, the database and finally the attendance is marked. If the
S.Hemalatha attendance is marked as absent the message about the
2020 student’s absent is send to their parents.

Attendance Nazare Kanchan An automated Attendance Management System (AMS)
Management System Jayant Surekha based on face detection and face recognition techniques is
Using Hybrid Face Borra proposed in this paper. The system employs modified
Recognition 2019 Viola-Jones algorithm for face detection, and alignment-
Techniques free partial face recognition algorithm for face
recognition.

Automated S. Aravindh, R. We can implement an effective system which will mark the
Attendance Athira, M. J. Jeevitha attendance of students automatically by recognizing their
Managementand faces. The process of this face recognition system is divided
Reporting System 2020 into various steps, but the important steps are detection of
using Face face and recognition of face. Firstly, to mark the attendance
Recognition of students, the image of students' faces will be required.

6
Class Attendance Clyde Gomes An automated attendance marking and management system
Management System Sagar Chanchal is proposed by making use of face detection and
using Facial Tanmay Desai recognition algorithms. Instead of using the conventional
Recognition 2019 methods, this proposed system aims to develop an
automated system that records the student’s attendance by
using facial recognition technology.
PROBLEM FACED IN PREVIOUS SYSTEMS:

• Less accuracy.

• Less sensitivity.

• Identity misuse.

• Lack of security.

• Problem in memory management.

S8 PROJECT WORK II
PROPOSED METHODOLOGY:-
• The proposed Library Attendance System is able to integrate each part of sub-system which
include a face recognition system based on YOLOv5.

• This live attendence monitoring system helps to capture and recognise multiple faces in real
time as a single input and helps to carry on to produce multiple outputs.

• The aim of this system is to develop a system with increased performance and accuracy.
First, the input is from a face captured by the camera. Then the detection process will load the
model that has been built, then perform classification and prediction using the bounding box
and confidence score.

• The results displayed are in the form of prediction boxes, confidence values, and object
classes. The detection results in the form of an object class will be stored in the report
database and then the data in the report database will appear on the report page.

• The report page is built to display data in the form of a number, username, date of attendance,
and time of attendance.
S8 PROJECT WORK II - ZEROTH REVIEW
ADVANTAGES OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM:

● Simple and reliable system for live monitoring.

● High speed in performance.

● Performs with high accuracy and precision .

● Helps to stop proxies and fake attendence.

● Tends to perform with minimum human intervention.

● This proposed system helps to provide a significant level of security compared to other existing
systems.
IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY

• Development of API Service for Attendance System

• Building face recognition using YOLO v5 using functions.

• Development of Visitor Identification System

• Comprehensive System Testing

• Face Recognition Attendance like in Office, College, Schools, and Any Institution.
