Graphic Scores
A graphic score is a way in which a composer can compose a piece without
using common music notation. Using Symbols to represent instruments.
When using a graphic score, you need to assign each instrument a symbol.

Task: Watch the example and observe the complexity of the music machine

• Think simple! Use simple notation
• Use a blank piece of paper
• Create a system! You need to be able to present and explain
your graphic score!
• Think about to give symbols for instruments, dynamics, pitch
etc.
