THE GRADE 10 LEARNERS IN MANAOAG


NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

SOCIAL ISOLATION
• Social Isolation can lead people to loneliness. It is a state of being cut off
from normal social networks, which can be triggered by factors such as loss
of mobility, unemployment, or health issues.

• Social isolation is a lack of social connections. 


• It also means that people who are affected by Social Isolation cannot
interact with the people they know and love, which leads them to be very
lonely, and in some cases cause insanity if left alone for too long.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
• THIS STUDY IS AIMED TO FIND OUT THE CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF SOCIAL ISOLATION AMONG THE
GRADE 10 LEARNERS IN MANAOAG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

SPECIFICALLY, THIS STUDY SEEKS TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS:

• 1. WHAT IS THE PROFILE OF THE RESPONDENTS IN TERMS OF THE FOLLOWING VARIABLES?

The activities and programs include:

1. Intramurals – In this program, Intramurals is full of activities that will help you

to overcome Social Isolation.

2. Physical Education – In this program, Physical Education can help you of

being melancholy in your life.

3. Sports practice – In this program, Learners can help themselves


to get away from Social Isolation.

4. Sports competition – In this program, Sports competition can help


the learners to be more hyper and excited so that they cannot be
socially isolated.
SOCIAL ISOLATION
SALIENT FINDINGS
• The Grade 10 learners agree that the following impacts affect them as learners they can feel that they are
socially isolated.

• As shown in the results the grade 10 learners experienced the risk of substance abuse like alcohol and
cigarettes. The respondents agreed that they experienced sleep disturbances and also feel less motivated
and put forth less effort. They also agreed that they usually experienced physical and mental disturbances
like headaches, stomach aches and depression. Also, the result shows that the grade 10 learners did not
experience worse physical health, lower likelihood of completing school, show a decrease in attendance
rates, perform worse on school performances, and lastly suicidal tendencies it may be attempts or ideation.
Conclusions
• Most of the students agreed that the causes of social isolation might be experiencing loss of love ones,
the respondents disagreed that undergoing physical therapies is not the way to cure social isolation.

• Although there are indicators that stood out of all the other indicators according to which impact, they
belong, the respondents have different views and perception as to what indicator really affect grade 10
learners with the impact of Social Isolation.

• The results of this study could be a great help to the respondents as well as to the other beneficiaries in
the causes and effects of Social Isolation.
Recommendations

• Respondents should engage into activities and programs that will help the Grade
10 learners in to get away with being socially isolated.

• As the school is still closed due to pandemic teachers should provide the learners
an application that can help the learners so as not to be socially isolated.

• The respondents should have a daily communication with the class adviser so that
the class adviser should know the learners if they are socially isolated.
