PROGRAM
The parade started at the assigned time. Students lined up wearing their costumes together with
their parents in their foundation shirts. The procession started with the flag bearers and drummers in front,
followed by classes according to grade level.
The procession ended earlier than expected, so the program commenced early.
The challenges that arose during the program which were unforeseen;
1. Seating arrangement in the benches
- The benches have been assigned per grade level, however, the parents and guardians were more than
the expected number. The space had been limited to only the total number of students and one guardian
for the event so the benches had been overcrowded and the crowd did not abide with the planned
seating arrangement.
- A solution to use the monobloc chairs to accommodate the number of students and parents.
2. Sound system
- The microphone was loud but the sound was not as clear and audible as expected, mic batteries have
been replaced and speakers were panned to both sides to accommodate the audiences on the far side of
the gymn.
3. Crowd discipline
- Since teachers were occupied with guiding student performances, food distribution and delegated tasks,
students were left to the care of their guardians and parents, however, most allowed their children to
leave their seats and play while the program was ongoing despite repeated and numerous reminders to
stay in the assigned benches.
4. Raffle draw
- While the raffle draw was ongoing, it was discovered that the names of students in the grade 3 were not
included in the draw box, therefore non on the said students got a chance to win prizes from the draw.
- Since this mishap was noticed, a solution was made. Names of the stunts were included for the
monetary raffle draw and 3 students from the class received cash prizes.
The student performances, arrangement, costumes and execution were smooth and excellent, all
students were able to perform with enthusiasm and energy. Crowd response was overwhelming and
supportive. The games went as planned and the parents and students showed eagerness to participate.
The photo booth was enjoyed by both parents students, admin, teaching and non-teaching staff. Everyone
had smiles on their faces, a clear indication of a successful event. Since the program transition was smooth
and went as planned, the program finished earlier than the planned schedule. The program was wrapped
up around 11 AM. By 12 PM, the benches were already vacated and the equipment were already loaded
back to school. Target time was achieved and the event ended peaceful and successful.
