Las anomalías de la Temperatura Superficial del Mar
en el Pacífico Oriental se han incrementado
progresivamente desde febrero

Actualmente se registran anomalías

positivas, en promedio, de hasta
5°C sobre el valor normal para la
temporada; sin embargo a nivel
diario, las anomalías han superado
en algunos sectores los 8°C

Los PRONÓSTICOS TRIMESTRALES permiten conocer el grado de probabilidad de que las lluvias, temperaturas
máximas o temperaturas mínimas del aire se encuentren sobre, debajo o dentro de sus valores normales . En la escala
de tres meses no se pronostican eventos extremos de corto plazo (lluvias intensas, granizadas, nevadas, heladas, olas
de calor, entre otros), sino más bien las condiciones promedio del trimestre.

El Servicio Nacional de Meteorología e Hidrología del Perú (Senamhi),

organismo adscrito al Minam, informa que, en la costa norte en lo que queda
de abril, se presentarán episodios de lluvia de moderada a fuerte intensidad,
acompañada de descargas eléctricas y ráfagas de viento.

En Tumbes y Piura (provincias de Sullana, Piura, Ayabaca y Morropón),

desde el 20 al 26 de abril, existe mayor probabilidad en la ocurrencia de
lluvia localizada de extrema intensidad, que registrarán acumulados
próximos a los 100mm/día.

Estos episodios de lluvia se deben principalmente al mar caliente (con

valores superiores a 26°C), una mayor concentración de humedad y una
configuración atmosférica favorable por el posicionamiento de la oscilación
Madden-Julian sobre el país. Es importante mantener la vigilancia y el
continuo seguimiento de los modelos numéricos para incrementar la certeza
y precisión de los pronósticos.

El Senamhi continuará informando sobre las condiciones meteorológicas a

nivel nacional, para la actualización y emisión de avisos meteorológicos. En
tanto, se exhorta a la población y autoridades mantenerse informada a través
de los canales oficiales, página web y redes sociales.
