LSD

Lysergic Acid Diethylamide was first synthesised in 1938 from the fungus
the grew on rye.

In 1943, the inventor Albert Hofmann accidentally touched some to his


mouth and experienced hallucinating experience.

LSD has psychedelic properties.

LSD affects multiple receptors in the brain such as dopamine receptor,


Adrenergic receptor and glutamate receptor.

The high lasts up to 12 hours.

one 100,000th of a gram

The drug causes parts of your brain to communicate in unique ways,


especially in the visual cortex.

There’s decreased blood flow in the default mode network, correlating to


changes in consciousness, characterized as ego-dissolution.

themselves, others and the natural world.

Taking LSD in small quantities has reported in the increase of optimism,


openness, creativity and imagination.

LSD was considered by some researchers for the therapy for patients with
death anxiety and life-threatening illness.

After 12 months of therapy, it was reported that there was a reduction in


anxiety in patients.

LSD is non-addictive.

Is less dangerous than other drugs.
