• Conclusion
WHAT IS IP AND IP ADDRESS ?

• IP stands for "Internet Protocol” .

• An IP address is a unique address that identifies a device on the internet or a
local network.
• In essence, IP addresses are the identifier that allows information to be sent
between devices on a network.
• IP addresses are given by DHCP .
IPV4 VS IPV6 :
• IPv4 is a 32-Bit IP Address . • IPv6 is 128 Bit IP Address.
• IPv4 is a numeric address, and its • IPv6 is an alphanumeric address
binary bits are separated by a dot whose binary bits are separated
(.) by a colon (:). It also contains
hexadecimal.
IPV4 VS IPV6 :

• IPv4 offers 12 header fields. • whereas IPv6 offers 8 header fields.

• IPv4 supports broadcast . • whereas IPv6 doesn’t support
broadcast .
IPV4 VS IPV6 :
• When we compare IPv4 and IPv6, • whereas IPv6 doesn’t support
IPv4 supports VLSM (Variable VLSM.
Length Subnet Mask),
IPV4 AND IPV6 :
• IPv4 uses ARP (Address • whereas IPv6 uses NDP
Resolution Protocol) to map to MAC (Neighbour Discovery Protocol)
address,
to map to MAC address.
CONCLUSION :
The Rapidly Growing Population Of The World Is Pushing For The
Gradual Phase-out To Ipv4. In Addition, The Frequent Advancement In
Technology In Almost Every Sector In The Community Has Led To The
Development Of More Networks.

Leading To The Depletion Of All Ipv4 Addresses, Ipv6 Is Slowly

Becoming The Future Of The Internet Ip Addressing System.
