Introduction
Climate
 It is the long-term weather pattern in a
region, typically averaged over 30years.
 Weather is a short-term variation in
climate, in a given region

Climate Change
 It is the periodic modification of Earth’s
climate brought about as a result of
changes in the Atmosphere as well as
interactions between the atmosphere and
various other geo/chemo/bio factors
within the Earth system.
 Earth is now about 1.1°C warmer than
it was in the late 1800s. The last decade
(2011-2020) was the warmest on record.
