Virtual community
A group of people, who may or may not meet one
another face to face, who exchange words and ideas
through the mediation of digital networks.

Virtual communities are social aggregations
that emerge from the Net when enough people carry on
those public discussions long enough, with sufficient
human feeling, to form webs of personal relationships
in cyberspace. Rheingold's article and book are cited as
the foundational works of cyber culture studies.
A virtual community is a social network of
individuals who connect through specific social
media, potentially crossing geographical and political
boundaries in order to pursue mutual interests or goals.
Some of the most pervasive virtual communities are
online communities operating under social
networking services.
M-commerce (mobile commerce)
M-Commerce  is the buying and selling of goods and
services through wireless handheld devices such as
smart phones and tablets. As a form of e-
commerce, m-commerce enables users to access
online shopping platforms without needing to use a
desktop computer.

Examples of m-commerce include  in-app purchasing,

mobile banking, virtual marketplace apps like the
Amazon mobile app or a digital wallet such as Apple
Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay.
Advantages of Moble Commerce

Added customer retention by being more easily

accessible.
More convenience for customers in comparing prices,
reading reviews and making purchases without the
need of a desktop computer.
Wider variety of products and services.
Automates a businesses’ point of customer contact and
sales.
Disadvantages of m-commerce
A poorly executed mobile experience can deter
customers from making purchases.
Mobile payment options are not available in every
geographic location and may not support every type of
digital wallet.
Businesses must know and comply with tax laws and
regulations of all countries they ship to (some
businesses will avoid this by only allowing purchases
and shipping from their country of origin).
Online auction
An online auction is an auction which is held over the
internet. Like auctions in general, online auctions
come in a variety of types like ascending English
auctions, descending Dutch auctions, first-price sealed-
bid, Vickrey auctions and others, which are sometimes
not mutually exclusive.

TERM (Technology-enabled Relationship Management)
The concept of forming one enterprise wide view of
the customer across all customer contact channels (i.e.,
sales, marketing, and customer service and support). It
is a complex area, requiring complex solutions to
problems of integration, data flow, data access and
marketing strategy. A critical component is the
database that serves as the customer information
repository.
Technology and Customer Relationship Management
Talking to Customers: Customer Service:
It is amazing how much technology has changed the
ways we communicate with each other. In the same
way, it has changed the way that organizations and
companies can communicate with us.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is an
enterprise-wide business strategy directed at
attracting, retaining and effectively serving
customers to grow up their value over the long
term.
Search engine positioning
Search engine positioning is the continuous practice
of optimizing web pages in order to achieve higher (or
more numerous) results in search engines for specific
keywords.

Search engine positioning is a subset of search engine

optimization that focuses on achieving higher rankings
for specific pages (as opposed to working on sitewide
technical SEO improvements or
choosing keywords to optimize for).
Why is Search Engine Positioning Important?
Search engine positioning is important because it
affects how much traffic your site receives. The more
people you have visiting your site; the better chances
you have of selling your products or services.
Search Engine Positioning And Domain Names :
We’ll walk through some of the considerations commonly
discussed by clients when deciding to create a website. The
domain is the URL you will be purchasing that your customers
will be able to find you on the web with.

A common thought amongst marketing agencies is that you

should target an exact match domain. For example: if your
service offering is around personal training, you should be
targeting ‘personaltraining.com’. In my opinion, the potential
benefits do not outweigh the benefits that you would gain by
building a brand and associating your domain with this brand.
Using his same example, I would target a domain like,
‘hendersonfitness.com’.
