WHAT FASTING IS AND WHO MUST
FAST.

Fasting is to completely stop eating food


or drinking water from Fajr to maghrib. All
healthy adult Muslims must fast during the
month of Ramadan.

WHAT'S THE REWARD
FOR FASTING.

Whoever fasts during Ramadan has his


past sins forgiven. It also holds
unimaginable rewards, it leads you
toward Jannah and has good physical
benefits.

VERSE FROM QURAN
ABOUT FASTING

Surah Baqarah Ayah 185- “The month of


Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed
the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and
clear proofs of guidance and criterion.  So
whoever sights [the new moon of] the
month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill
or on a journey – then an equal number of
other days.

The prophet would fast every day
and do Suhoor with one of his
wives and some time he would
eat a few  dates, but he
wouldn’t eat a lot and he would
pray extra at night which is called
taraweeh and to make the
Muslims at that time thinks it
wasn’t Fardh he prayed it at
home.

WHY DO WE FAST?

Fasting is one of the 5 pillars of Islam it is also an act of


worship, a way to get closer to Allah and to be more thankful
of what we have.

Apart from spiritual benefits like rewards,
past sins forgiven it also has many physical
benefits such as weight loss, healthier heart and
much more.
