Mirzapur Siya
•Mirzapur Siya village is a small village located in the Aligarh district, Uttar
Pradesh. It is situated about 10 kilometers from railway station of Aligarh and is
surrounded by other nearby villages.
•Like many other villages in India, the primary occupation of the residents of
Mirzapur Siya is agriculture. The village is known for its lush green fields and is
situated on the banks of small canal.
•Overall, Mirzapur Siya village is a quite peaceful place that offers a glimpse into
the rural way of life in India.
Rural Health Camp
The department of Social Work organizes a week liong winter camp for rural communities
as part of the G-20 themed event and in spirit with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
This rural camp was focused on Education, Environment, Health and Hygiene and was or-
ganized in village of AMU under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
Health camp, Environment Awareness, Meetings on Cleanliness and Personal Hygiene,
Nukkad Natak, Awareness Program on Financial Literacy in collaboration with SEBI,
Community Mobilization and Awareness Program on Government Welfare Schemes were
the main features.
Community Profiling
Community profiling is a social research method which involves building up a picture of the
nature, needs and resources of a locality or community, with the active participation of its
members, the aim being to create and implement an action plan to address the issues un-
earthed.
Developing a community profile involves identifying community issues and attitudes, locat-
ing notable features in the study area, and assessing social and economic conditions and
trends in the community and region that have a bearing on the project.
