Bobbing

Guirjen, Kim Cyruz N.

BPED III-1
what is bobbing?
IT'S THE ABILITY TO EXCHANGE
AIR, BLOWING USED AIR OUT
AND INHALING NEW AIR. THE
MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT IN THE
EXCHANGE OF AIR IS ON THE
EXHALE BECAUSE ONCE THE
LUNGS ARE EMPTY, THE NEW AIR
WILL AUTOMATICALLY FLOW IN.
What is bobbing in swimming and why is it taught?

 Bobbing prepares you for rhythmic

breathing in deeper water; it's good
for your confidence. The goal here is to
learn bubbling and exhaling under
water and get you comfortable at the
bottom of the pool. Sometimes you
might find yourself holding your breath
underwater.
What does it mean to bob in water?

To bob is to dip up and down, the way

something does when it floats on the surface of
water.
What is the procedure in proper
bobbing?
Let your body sink to its maximum depth
while exhaling by blowing bubbles slowly
through your nose.
