PROPHETS
 what is a prophet?
• It is the Lord’s spokesman here in the world
• They are receiving revelations through listening
To God’s voice and through visions
• Prophet is a calling from the Lord, but we can walk
In the prophetic because of our DNA with the Lord
Two types of prophets:
• Nabi
• Seer
 The Nabi prophet
• Nabi prophet is a prophet who receives revelations from the Lord
through hearing (hearing his voice)
• Nabi(pronounced as ‘new-bee’), is translated into English as ‘prophet’. The word
‘prophet’ (in various forms) was used for approximately 300 times in the old
Testament and 100 times in the new testament
• “I will raise up for them a prophet (Nabi) like you from among their fellow Israelites
And I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him
(Deuteronomy 18:18)
• The Nabi prophet is more on ‘hearing’; he usually hears the voice of God in either
Audible or inner
 Functions of the nabi prophet
• They utilize giftings of tongues and interpretation of tongues
• Nabi prophets has a unique anointing, anointing that operates the gifts
• A Nabi is associated with spontaneous, fast flow with inspiration being the tone

Additional definition of a nabi prophet

• Nabi means ‘bubble forth’
• If the Nabi will prophet prophesy, the Holy Spirit will put the words on his/her spirit, and this will
Flow into his/her mind and will come out from his/her mouth
 The seer prophet
• A seer is a person who ‘sees’. In the Bible, a seer is another name for a prophet
(see 1 Samuel 9:9)
• A seer is a prophet that receives revelations from the Lord through visions and dreams
• A seer is a ‘visionary’, he can see the events happening in the spiritual realms
That we can’t see
• A seer is not a talkative one compared to the Nabi prophet
 Two types of seer prophet
• Raah - literally means ‘to see’, particularly in the sense of seeing visions.
Other meanings of ‘Raah’ includes: ‘to gaze’, ‘to look upon’, and to ‘perceive’

• Chozeh – literally means ‘a beholder in vision’; other meanings of Chozeh is

‘gazer’ or ‘star gazer’
• Raah only sees visions
• Chozeh doesn’t only sees it, he can experience the vision too, he can enter to it
And he can interpret his own visions and dreams clearly
VISIONS
 WHAT IS A VISION
• Vision is a gift from the Holy Spirit, it is an instrument of supernatural revelation. It is an
Audiovisual communication between heavenly being and earthly recipient

• Vision is one of the Lord’s ways to speak to you

• In visions, you see pictures on your mind
4 TYPES OF VISIONS
• Inner vision
• Open vision
• Trances
• Vision of the night
• Inner vision – Your spiritual eyes sees pictures, motions, or words in the spiritual realms
(this is the most common vision). This occurs when you’re closing your eyes and you
suddenly saw pictures or objects in your spirit and this will directly come up in your mind

• Open vision – It’s like you’re watching a movie; in this type of vision, you can see things
clearly in your naked eyes. Its like a 3d

• Trances – You can literally tap in or enter into the vision. You can also touch, hear, and
Smell the vision. In short, you are caught in the vision

• Vision of the night – It’s a vision wherein it happens or occurs when you’re sleeping; this
Is also common, in this vision, your natural consciousness or senses will disappear
You are 100% in the spiritual realms
