Conditional type 3 :

• Sesuatu yang tidak terjadi di masa lalu

• Berlawanan dengan kejadian di masa lalu
 Structure :

If + Past Perfect Tense, S + would + have + V3

(S + had + V3)
Example :

• If I had studied hard, I would have passed the exam

Jika saya belajar dengan sungguh-sunggguh, saya akan lulus ujian

• Fact : I didn’t study hard and I didn’t pass the exam

 Another Example :

• If I had called her last night, she would have brought the novels
today
Jika saya menelpon dia tadi malam, maka dia akan membawa novelnya
hari ini
• Fact : I didn’t call her last night
Saya tidak menelponnya tadi malam
Struktur dari conditional type 3 dapat diubah menjadi :

S + would + have + V3 + If + past perfect tense

Example :
She would have brought the novels if I had called her
last night.
Dia akan membawa novelnya jika saya menelpon dia tadi
malam
