manuscripts and it took 3 months to burn it down ( by the army of Bakhtiyar Khilji)

SITUATION NOW
Among all the states, Bihar ranks the lowest on Human Development
Index. Bihar is the second worst performer, in terms of overall health performance
among the larger states in the fourth Health Index released by the NITI Aayog.
Bihar is the least literate state with a literacy rate of 61.80%. The male literacy rate
being 71.20% while the female literacy rate is 51.50%

1. DEPRIVED OF MEDICAL FACILITIES ( SEVERE MEDICAL NEGLIGENCY)

Rekha Kumari who came for an ear operation, was given an injection in the artery instead of a vein ,
due to which Rekha”s hand slowly started turning green and she began to lose control of the hand.
Rekha complained about the discomfort and pain in the hand
immediately after, but the doctors and nurses on duty at that
time did not pay any attention and instead threatened to
remove her from the hospital.
 In another case of absolute negligency, 23 women were forced to undergo tubectomy
(permanent contraceptive method in females) without anaesthesia, by the medical
staff at a primary health centre in the Khagaria district of Bihar.
The victims said that they went through agonising pain and did not even want to
remember the horrific incident.
It was a government-sponsored campaign run by a private organisation.
2. POLICE BRUTALITY
 In the Samastipur district of Bihar, a man Ramsewak (55) and other approx. 400 men were
protesting four months of unpaid wages before picked up by policemen from the site of the protest.
He was taken to an unknown pace and beaten allegedly by the policemen and taken to the hospital,
where he died. The cause of death was given as speticemia, severe blood infection, possibly from
injuries.
