Crawford has identified 6 stages to
understand the family’s role in health
care they are
Prevention ,diagnosis ,treatment ,support,recuperati
on,rehabilitationand terminal care .
Williams and leaman identified five stages
they are ,
Recognition of deviations and their
interpretation,the sick seeking stage,the medical
contact stage, caring and rehabilitation stage

system & coping abilities to ensure development
and optimum health state of all family members

Family health nursing is nursing aspects of


organized health care services which are directed or
focused on the family as the unit of care with health
as the goal.
