Goat Man's Bridge

A successful African American goat farmer named Oscar Washburn was hung by the Klu Klux Klan on the Alton bridge at
midnight in 1930. When a member was sent  to the bottom to see if he was dead, there was an empty noose. The Klan in
panic burnt the Washburn home with his family in it. Oscar was nowhere to be seen and the Klan left the burnt family and
home. Weeks later a Klansmen was crossing the bridge at midnight, he heard the sound of hooves followed by snarls and the
smell of decaying flesh. There at the end of the bridge stood a hooved figure with a goat's head and blank glowing yellow
eyes. The figure said "get off my bridge" the man in terror started running back the way he came, the goatman charged  at
him, he grabbed his leg and threw him off the bridge and into the river. The man swam to shore, he ran toward his  friend's
house but in shock all the man kept repeating is “The goatman's bridge, The goatman's bridge, The goatman's bridge”.

At Night
• 1.People have claimed to be touched by something unknown. 
• 2.Being pushed off the side of the bridge into the water below.
• 3.They said they heard cults saying rituals nearby the bridge in the woods.
• 4. Locals say if you knock on the bridge three times your either hear a knock back or the
Goat Man might appear.
• 5.There have been numerous reports of people being haunted but no recording of this
happening.
• 6.They said after the year he disappeared many people have been missing till this day.
• 7. People say if you drive with your head lights off on the bridge that he will appear in
front of your car
• 8.Even now people can see his glowing eyes shining in the night.

cats because of how cat remains

 Why should it
be in the top five
        The Old Alton Bridge or the Goatman's Bridge
deserves to be in the top five most haunted places and
should be in the haunted tour. This is because the
Bridge's haunted history of not just ghost sightings but
demon Goatman sightings and satanic rituals being
performed there. This in combination with the fact that
no one knows who the Goatman really was or is, makes
the Goatman's Bridge utterly terrifying and
undeniably Haunted.
