RIDING
• People started using horses as far back as
6000 BC.

• The first horsemen came from the


nomadic tribes of Russia.

• Horses played an important role in war


and transportation.

• During the Renaissance, several


equestrian schools were opened in Italy.

• Thanks to the schools, riding developed


and the first competitions began.

HORSEBALL:
• Horseball is a sport played on
horseback where a ball is handled and
goals are scored by shooting it
through a hoop with a diameter of 1m.

• The sport is a combination of polo,


rugby, netball, and basketball.

• The basic rules involve a team of 4


players making a minimum of 3
passes between 3 different players of
their team and then scoring a goal.
